Information on the processing of personal data of users who visit the website of the Focolare Movement for the protection of personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679
WHY THIS NOTICE?
This page describes the management of the site concerning the processing of personal data of users who consult it. This is a privacy notice provided in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter “Regulation” or “GDPR”) to those who interact with the web services of P.A.M.O.M. – Focolare Movement, accessible electronically from the address: https://labottegadiciro.it, corresponding to the homepage of the official website of La Bottega di Ciro. This Notice, in particular, concerns only the official website of La Bottega di Ciro: therefore, it does not concern any other websites that may be reachable by the user through links on the same.
DATA CONTROLLER
The “data controller” – i.e., the legal entity that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data – is P.A.M.O.M., headquartered in Rocca di Papa (Rome, Italy), Via Frascati, 306. Following consultation of this site, data relating to identified or identifiable persons may be processed.
DATA PROTECTION OFFICER
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Mr. Sergio Barbaro, who can be reached at the following address: Data Protection Officer, Via Frascati 306, Rocca di Papa (Rome, Italy), email: privacy@focolare.org.
PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING
The processing related to the web services of this site takes place at the aforementioned headquarters and is handled only by technical staff appointed by the data controller, or by any persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations, under the direct authority of the data controller. No data deriving from the web service is communicated or disseminated. Personal data provided by users who submit requests for the sending of informative material (responses to inquiries, notifications, etc.) are used solely to perform the service or provision requested and are communicated to third parties only if necessary for legal obligations.
TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
We process two types of data:
– Navigation data collected automatically
– Data provided by the user
Navigation data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment. These data are used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the site: except for this possibility, the web contact data do not persist for more than seven days.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message. Specific summary information will be progressively reported or displayed on the pages of the site prepared for particular services on request.
COOKIES
This website uses different types of “cookies” (small text files saved on the user’s device). The use of session cookies (which are not persistently stored on the user’s computer) is strictly limited to ensuring safe and efficient site navigation. Session cookies do not allow the acquisition of personal data identifying the user. Below is the extended information on the cookies used on this website. Browser settings can be configured to block cookies or inform the user when a website intends to set a cookie. However, it is important to be aware that blocking cookies could prevent the user from using all the functions of this website. The use of so-called session cookies (which are not persistently stored on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to ensure safe and efficient site navigation. The so-called session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other IT techniques potentially prejudicial to the confidentiality of user navigation and do not allow the acquisition of personal data identifying the user.
DATA RETENTION PERIOD
Except for data provided voluntarily by the user for specific services, for which specific information will be provided, navigation information will be retained for a maximum of fourteen months following collection, unless it is necessary to use it to ascertain responsibility in case of computer crimes against the site; in this case, the information will be kept at the disposal of the Authority for the time necessary to ensure P.A.M.O.M.’s exercise of its rights of defense.
PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS OF PROCESSING
Apart from what is specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data indicated in the request forms to the Focolare Movement or otherwise indicated in contacts with its various expressions to solicit the sending of informative material or other communications. These will be known by P.A.M.O.M. employees and collaborators, duly instructed on the precautions and guarantees to be adopted in the processing of the information in question as required by the Applicable Regulations. Failure to provide such data may make it impossible to obtain what is requested.
METHODS OF PROCESSING
Personal data are processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illegal or incorrect use, and unauthorized access. Given the user’s expressed consent, where required for specific services, the user may be contacted via email, SMS, or any equivalent electronic tool or by postal mail or operator call at all the contacts provided. If the user prefers to be contacted only at one or some of these contacts, they can make an explicit request using a form available in the relevant section of the service. The site is equipped with a notification system through which the user can choose the content of interest, delivered via email, messaging applications (Facebook-Messenger), and browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, Android IOS, Windows, etc.). Subscription to the notification system by email is requested by the user and is local to the site, not managed by third-party services, therefore stored and managed on the local server. Subscription through messaging applications and browsers occurs according to the respective rules and privacy policies of the chosen channel. The form to register for the notification system that sends selected notifications by the user is found on the “Contact Us” page. The data is recorded only on the site and managed locally on the site. Emails are sent through an SMTP owned by P.A.M.O.M. If via browser or messaging application, it occurs through the one chosen by the user. With each email notification sent, the user is free to request the cancellation of the subscription through the footer placed in the email, where it says: “If you received this message by mistake and are not interested: unsubscribe” or similar. To disable browser notifications, the user must go to the menu and deactivate notifications. For messaging applications, the user simply needs to send the message “stop notifications” in the chat.
RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
The Applicable Regulations recognize users a series of rights including, by way of example, the right:
(i) to access their Personal Data
(ii) to request its rectification
(iii) its updating and deletion if incomplete, erroneous, or collected in violation of the law
(iv) to request that the processing be limited to a part of the information concerning them
(v) to transmit to themselves or to third parties the information concerning them (so-called “data portability”)
(vi) to object to its processing for legitimate reasons
(vii) to revoke their consent at any time by a written request addressed without formalities to P.A.M.O.M. at the contacts indicated.
P.A.M.O.M. reminds that if the response to requests is not considered satisfactory, the user may contact and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) in the ways provided by the Applicable Regulations.
PROVISION OF RESPONSES TO DATA SUBJECT REQUESTS AND CONTACTS
P.A.M.O.M. also performs the function of data processor, including for the purpose of providing responses to the data subject for the exercise of rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). Therefore, it is possible to contact P.A.M.O.M. for any request, clarification, or response regarding the application of data protection regulations and for the concrete exercise of the data subject’s rights, as better indicated in the previous paragraph, including when it is necessary to update, modify, integrate, correct, and/or delete data, as provided by the regulatory dictates or in relation to the evaluation of specific needs explicitly proposed by the data subject. To this end, to facilitate the data subject in exercising their rights and interacting with the Focolare Movement, the following contacts are provided in case of complaints: email address: privacy@focolare.org | 00040 Rocca di Papa (RM), Via Frascati, 306.
